Editorial standards
Useful enough to stand without a shopping link.
Our guides must help a reader make a better decision even when no product is purchased.
01 · Start with the room
Measurements come before products.
We identify openings, usable depth, working clearance, loaded dimensions, weight, surface compatibility, and access to utilities. A visually appealing organizer is not useful if it blocks a hinge, vent, shutoff valve, cleaning path, or normal movement.
02 · Separate evidence
We label the basis of a recommendation.
Space-planning guidance, manufacturer requirements, editorial judgment, and firsthand testing are different kinds of evidence. We do not convert a product description or customer review into a claim that we personally tested the item.
03 · Include the downside
Every option needs a limitation.
Product categories are compared by who they suit, what must be checked first, and why someone should skip them. We avoid universal claims such as “works in every small kitchen.”
04 · Label illustrations
Scene images explain an idea, not a product test.
Original editorial scene images may be used to make a space-planning idea easier to understand. They are not retailer product photos, proof of ownership, or evidence that a pictured item was tested. Product-specific images will only be used through an authorized source and identified separately.
05 · Protect independence
Commercial relationships must be visible.
The site currently has no active affiliate links and accepts no paid placement. If that changes, qualifying links and supplied samples will be disclosed near the relevant content. Compensation will not guarantee positive coverage.
06 · Correct the record
Substantive changes receive a review date.
We review corrections against the original claim and update the page when the evidence changes. A dedicated public inbox will be added before affiliate application so readers can report a specific page and issue.
